Correspondence, 1842-1876.

Assembled collection contains eight letters, four by Cruikshank, and a receipt. Cruikshank's correspondents are W. L. Sammons (1842), Mr. Draper (1855), John Haynes (ca. 1872) and Mrs. Newall (1874). There is one letter to Cruikshank from his framer, Francis Draper (1875), a letter to Hepworth Dixon from Cruikshank's wife Eliza (1876) and another to Eliza Cruikshank from Ada Sabine (n.d.). A receipt (1866) signed by Cruikshank records the sale of a "drawing on wood" of Falstaff to the firm of Cassell, Petter and Galpin.
